In 2015 my husband and I secured planning permission to develop his family farm in Wylam, in the Tyne-valley.
Historically part of The Bradley Hall estate, they had a selection of redundant stone and slate buildings which were in a sad state of repair, but had the potential to create stunning family homes due to their exceptional location, being 20 minutes to Newcastle Upon Tyne and yet nestled in picturesque Park Land.
Alongside my father and husband I prepared all the ground works and stripped bare the buildings ready for building work to commence. Manual labour is no challenge for my tenacity.

Designing and project managing the whole process alongside a team of Professional Architects and Builders that I had appointed, we created a development of 5 luxury houses ranging from 3 to 5 bedrooms with a starting price of £395,000.00 ranging to £475,000.00 that were sold in 2017. A very steep learning curve, but one that will be repeated as planning permission has now been granted to build a further 3 luxury houses on the site that will commence in March 2018.
